AGRRI MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the main
body of AGRRI is based on the following principles
- Need for Industry wide recognition
- Coverage of range of Stakeholder
interests
- Balance between 'consumers' and 'providers' of research
- Recognition that contribution is on an individual basis
- Limitation of attendance to a workable size
- Duration of Membership
In addition, all interested parties are
invited to be corresponding members, and will be included on the electronic
mailing list of information, papers etc. and be invited to an annual open
meeting
- Membership should be by interest group, with new
members nominated by their representative bodies, confirmed by existing
membership (by 2/3 majority)
- Membership should be for three years renewable once

Specific
activities, such as seminars, should continue to be progressed by working
groups. Any number of 'corresponding members' would be permissible; they would
be entitled to receive papers for meetings and minutes, and would be invited to
an annual open meeting.
